4 Day - 3-Night Itinerary

Day 1:

Embarkation

PM: Begin your adventure in the provincial capital, Iquitos, where you’ll be met and escorted via an exclusive Pure Amazon transfer to the town of Nauta, our embarkation point close to where the Marañón and Ucayali rivers meet to create the Amazon river. Here you’ll board Pure Amazon and settle into your gorgeously designed suite or cabin, with panoramic windows that frame the stunning beauty of your surroundings.

After settling in, enjoy a sunset cocktail on the Sun Deck, followed by a gourmet dinner prepared by Pure Amazon’s award-winning chef. The evening concludes with an insightful introduction to the region by your expert guides, setting the tone for the days ahead.

Day 2:

Exploring Pacaya-Samiria

AM: Before breakfast, embark on an early birding excursion. Depending on the time of year, you can choose between a guided jungle walk to discover the rich flora and fauna of the rainforest or a serene kayaking journey along one of the river’s atmospheric tributaries. Alternatively, just stay put and enjoy some downtime, a spa treatment and five-star service on board.

PM: Return to the riverboat for lunch, then embark on another skiff adventure, perhaps opting for a fishing expedition or an intimate encounter with the diverse birdlife of the rainforest.

As evening falls, savour a Peruvian-themed dinner featuring local delicacies. The night concludes with a hosted stargazing session beneath a (hopefully!) crystalline night sky.

Day 3:

Wildlife and Cultural Immersion

AM: Start your day bright and early with a dawn birding safari.

PM: After lunch, join our chefs for a hands-on cooking class, learning to prepare Amazonian dishes using fresh, local ingredients. Additional excursion activities off the boat will be available for guests wishing to explore.

As the day winds down, enjoy an evening entertainment and stories from the heart of the Amazon Basin.

Day 4:

Disembarkation

AM: After breakfast, disembark at Nauta, where you will be transferred back to Iquitos, with a stop at the Bélen Market, cultural museum and a café for light refreshments before heading to the airport.
